Changelog
What changed in GenuinePlan, newest first.
Public website, guides and contact page
- New public pages for every feature, plus guides on WBS, critical path, dependency types, baselines and status reports.
- Comparisons with Microsoft Project and Excel, a pricing page, About, Privacy, Terms, Contact and this changelog.
- Shared plan links are marked so search engines do not index them.
One style for every pop-up
- Sharing, plan dialogs, dependents, upgrade and settings now look and behave the same, with more room between fields.
- Press Escape to close any of them.
Critical path, link types and baselines
- Four dependency types (finish-to-start, start-to-start, finish-to-finish, start-to-finish) with lead and lag in days.
- Warnings when a task starts earlier than its links allow.
- Save a baseline of the plan. Ghost bars on the Gantt chart plus Baseline finish and Variance columns show what has slipped.
- Microsoft Project XML import and export keep link types and lag.
Progress tracking and PDF status reports
- Progress is recorded once a day when you edit a plan, so you can see the trend over time.
- Download a status report as a PDF: health, percent complete, progress chart, overdue tasks and variance against the baseline.
Due and overdue reminders
- A bell in the planner lists your overdue and due-soon tasks across plans.
- Optional weekday email digest, one per person per day. Turn it off in Settings, Notifications.
- Click a task and the Gantt chart scrolls to its bar.
Settings in tabs
- Settings now opens in the centre of the screen with tabs for General, Columns, Sprints, Baseline and Notifications.
Where it started
- Work breakdown structure table with a Gantt chart, working days and sprint bands.
- Plans saved to your account; sign in with Google or Microsoft.
- Sharing with teammates, comments with @mentions and optional email notifications.
- Public read-only links to a plan, import and export of Microsoft Project XML, Excel and CSV, and optional Jira ticket status.
- Free, Pro and Team plans.
